Computational Methods in Social Sciences is an open access, blind peer reviewed journal with a semiannual frequency, indexed in more the 10 international databases (including RePEc, DOAJ, Index Copernicus, Ulrich’s).
CMSS publishes only original research papers on information technology, statistics, computational methods and quantitative analysis applied in social sciences.
CMSS is an English language journal published by “Nicolae Titulescu” University Editorial House and it is an international forum for all computer scientists, statisticians, mathematicians and social scientists involved in the area of developing new tools and computational methods in the context of the modern social science data sets.
During the last years social sciences have witnessed an exponential growth of data that have to be processed. Analysis of social infrastructure and networks, streaming data that come from online surveys produce a tremendous volume of data. Many computer scientists, statisticians, mathematicians have focused on designing new statistical and modeling approaches to find the underlying structure of data. The topics of interest for our readers include, among others: modeling and simulation in social sciences, computational economics, quantitative methods and their application in social sciences and spatial statistics.
The highly qualified international editorial board assures top quality for the selected and published papers.
The journal publishes survey and review articles from experts in the above mentioned areas and only original research papers. Only original and previously unpublished papers will be considered by CMSS. Selected conference papers of exceptional value are also subject to be published by the CMSS journal.
CMSS promotes insight and understanding of the state of the art in the field of computational methods applied in modern social sciences and includes original research and innovative applications from all parts of the world. We aim to bring important work using a computational approach to a wide international audience and therefore we only publish papers of high relevance for our journal’s audience.
